Upside Down
I give you the puddle and the chimney reflections, I give you the flavour of the day here-dreich, damp and dismal.
Nevertheless the thought of a warm cheery café with thick toast smothered in butter and marmalade, drew us out in the drizzle along paths and pavements smothered deep in soggy fallen leaves to the café by the canal.
How nice it was to return to a warm house and a view out of the windows of a dank Meadows with a succession of pedestrians hidden under dark umbrellas crossing the paths. There should be a law against black umbrellas- all umbrellas should be bright and colourful to combat depression.
Needless to say His Lordship and I are hunkered down with the Sunday papers for the duration of today.
