A piece of Peterhead in London
I was surprised to bump into this solid, intricate carving on a walk along the Thames riverbank today
I immediately recognised the origin of the stone because my childhood home was built with the same granite.
The stone quarry it came from also overlooks the village of Boddam (the most easterly point in Scotland) where my father came from
This perchance sighting brought back some lovely memories. I was instantly transported back to Scotland - at least in my mind
