Waiting at the station

We've had an excellent weekend in London but getting back home was going to be a bit more challenging. 

They were doing work on the tracks (all necessary I'm sure) but it meant a bit of a wait and wonder what was going on at the train station.  Nobody actually seemed to know what was going on.  About a million people wanted to get on a train that held about 500!  Anyway, by some miracle we got on and even got a seat, together, facing the way we were going!  Everybody was asking everybody else if they knew if the train was stopping at Gatwick, or Brighton or East Croydon or anywhere at all!

I took a few leg shots while waiting at the station.  It's something to do and makes the time go quicker.

This pigeon was pacing up and down, I think he'd missed his train.
