The best way to watch Formula One ....
I'm rapidly losing interest in a sport I've followed since the first TV broadcasts way back. Today I've heard a commentator tell the viewers that it's all about shareholder value and marketing advantage and that there is a large element of - what can I call it - race fixing? Now that is surely cheating. Managing cars and engines to ensure a 1-2 position for Mercedes. Silly me, I thought it was about the fastest cars and the best drivers going head to head. Seems not. Deliberately slow pit stops, unnecessary tyre changes, team orders... It's no better than World Wrestling Federation nonsense.
So a small Talisker helps to sooth away my annoyance. And blur the false images I'm being exposed to by Team Mercedes and their Shareholders.
