Almost eight years ago...

30 November, 2007, we innocently started to "blip", invited to do so by MissRAble, Z's sister. We had absolutly no idea that we would continue to upload one blip a day for eight years. In fact, we would probably have laughed if anyone suggested that...

But here we are, still uploading one blip a day...and we can't see the end of it.

We hope that the Blipfoto community will continue to grow and develop, along more or less the same path initially chosen by Joe and his team many, many moons ago! We miss the old "blip grey" background, though... but we are really grateful and happy that Blipfoto is still an advert-free zone.

What could be a more fitting celebration than Tove Jansson's Sent i november (literal translation Late in November, but the English translation is called Moominvalley in November), since we started to blip very, very late in November. In our celebration blip we also include two other favourite books, Moominpappa at sea and The Exploits of Moominpappa (with the knitting ghost).

The "real" 8x365 blip celebration will be 27 November, so perhaps we will celebrate that day too. Any excuse for a party is valid, isn't it?
