A treat to meet your feet

The cygnets disappeared but they're now back - I really thought that they had gone for good. 7 were born, 5 flew away recently, 4 have returned more recently.

I was surprised and pleased when this one hopped out of the water and stood in front of me  (the extra photo). I've not seen them on land before and his/her feet were floppy and over-sized, like a puppy's.

I'm fascinated by bird's feet - and I've blipped my  chicken's foot before.
Evolution? Pah. These wonders were designed and created.

Today Elbows returned from Cyprus in the small hours and Big Bird has returned to university.
