Autumnal

Got up and did a few last bits of painting this morning, then popped down to Sainsbury's.  I walked in the door at four minutes to 11, and thought the place had gone into stasis - people were lined up at the manned checkouts and self-service tills with their purchases, motionless, waiting for 11am to come.  Weirdly eager!

We went over to our neighbour Sue's flat for lunch - she had loads of other friends there, too, so we were chatting away with all sorts of people for hours.  Came back home late afternoon and had a nice lazy evening.
