All Souls Service
I recently attended Eucharist for All Soul's Day at CC Chapel to the setting of The Requiem by Durufle. Alexander's name was one of those read out an intensely moving moment ........ It sounded so final! In half term instead of travelling up north (sorry JS) we went to Exmoor for some reflection on the combined big birthday party of his and mine that never was this year. He so loved singing as a Chorister where I attended and he so loved Exmoor and his Wildlife A.A. Milne featured with Alexanders's memorial .......strangely and without knowing it featured on the order of service!! I was frantically looking for the Butterfly that always appears when he is mentioned at a public event ... It was not there, disappointed I drove home alone through the dark and fog, on going into the house there flew off the curtain a very big beautiful red admiral butterfly! ....... The curtain was right next to Alexander's large photographic portrait..... I smiled and said Hello where were you?
