Jose Luis & Baby

Jose Luis (Joe Louis) carries a baseball bat to protect his little dog, Baby. With the bat he has saved the life of Baby three times when she was attacked by larger animals. Jose has been protecting Baby 10 years and vice versa.

They are residents of Lalo Guerrero Barrio Viejo Elderly Housing. You have to be 65 to live there. Jose is 72. I told him that hey I qualify, I'm 79. Actually it is low income housing and I probably wouldn't qualify. Who knows...maybe someday... However, I love my present housing and don't want any more moving.
