Scotney plate

I've been to Scotney Castle today - really hot but a cooling breeze would pass through the gardens from time to time. I took lots of lovely scenic pictures but perversely have uploaded this one. All the plants in the vegetable garden were labelled like this with plates. I liked the idea.
Something I learnt as we went round the house home of Christopher Hussey of Country Life was that it was Margaret Thatcher's second home during several years of her premiership for security reasons as her previous one wasn't considered safe enough. She would stay in a flat upstairs.
We plan to return in azalea time.
