Sacred view

Above the farm to the northwest is a small mountain covered in pines. It's a dominating aspect of the landscape that was until today simply a nice compliment to the view. This afternoon we hiked up the side of it, taking a path along some old logging tracks to a false summit. This was the view to the west as the sun set. One of the neighbors of the farm calls it the Sacred Mountain, and after our hike I'd say the designation is apt.
