Buccleuch Terrace
The power of marketing and product placement.
After dropping the boys at school this morning, I was on the bike and into town for instruction on some new work we're doing now. The bonus was I was only there for a couple of hours and then I ducked out to do a couple of meet and greets and then home.
After a few days of challenging light, it was much brighter if cooler as I plodded around the High Street (mostly).
Work done, I phoned in and I was going to use my lunch break to grab the last remaining Cigs on Duncan Street (a red number, coupled with Keft on a stone wall) when I was stopped in my tracks....
There, on Tills Bookshop were two new Cigs. This one is on the side, up Buccleuch Terrace, but a splendid pristine white double underlined 2015 hot off the press Cigs. On green. And when you view this fine emporium of books from the front, there is another almost identical except just a single underline on the stair door just next to Tills.
Well, it's no coincidence that I was going to launch my bid to block Jamie Oliver's annual Christmas Number One bestseller with 'Cigs the first 500' (foreword by Gordon Donnelly of the Herald and personally signed by councillor Cammy Rose) at Tills but they've obviously seen fit to join in by commissioning a couple of original Cigs for the event.
Full details of tickets for the book launch will be released shortly but for now here's the blip with someone trying in vain to get a sneak preview of the window display they're planning for the big day.
