Artistic stairs

Normally when I go to London I take loads of photos, but the weather was grey and dull and I didn't feel inspired to take any ... but I did rather like these steps!

Met with some lovely friends and went to see the Frank Auerbach exhibition, which was interesting and quite challenging.  Some wonderful work and some a bit impenetrable.  The use of layers of paint was fascinating though.

After the exhibition had a bit of wander round the tate ... and took in the Jo Spence photos.  Then it was off for a late and long lunch.   Lovely!
