Cooking Appls

Discovered this sign on a walk round the village. I've helped myself to apples from these people before and today there were 2 buckets of lovely cookers. Well, it seemed rude not to.
Someone in their house had taken it upon themselves to make a little poster inviting passers-by to help themselves. The owners could leave the apples to rot on the grass but they don't. They collect them up and put them by the gate so cheapskates like me can help ourselves and make apple pie.
It's just a little thing but a reminder that, however grim things might seem, there are still a lot of kind people in the world.
