Am I seeing things?....

About lunchtime today at Altrincham tram station - a very cold day but quite sunny at the time - suddenly there it was, quite happily sunning itself on the edge of the platform!  Is it a butterfly?  Is it a moth?  I haven't a clue - very pretty whatever it is - can anyone enlighten me please?
