AFTER THE FLOOD

I never got out to see the effects of The River bursting its bank yesterday so popped down at lunchtime to take a look, surprising how quickly the waters subside, the flow was still quite fierce and the level a good few feet up on normal, other signs were the flooded sports fields and the Bridge above that was still closed to traffic, I wanted to post the extra as the blip because I liked the umbrella (would have made a good thumbnail) but my attempt to remove some of the wires didn't turn out quite as I liked, there are a few more photos including the flooded sports field in this Flickr set.
