Cozumel, Mexico

Our speedboat adventure was rather more hair raising than I expected.

Back in our younger days when we had Porthos, our little red speedboat, we used to waterski on a calm lake in Wales.

It was rather different hurtling over rough waves in the ocean and I have to confess that this photograph is quite misleading! I may have waved excitedly at the cameraman but for the rest of the hour I was hanging on for dear life and praying that the Lord would calm the sea as he did for the disciples on the Sea of Galilee!

What's more, after some time snorkelling, there was the return journey to contend with. Nevertheless I survived the experience and the Mexican lunch was good.
