Inaugural "flight"

We have lift off!

The stair lift was successfully installed today. Here is Mum enjoying her first journey upstairs. It will take some adjusting to the new arrangment but we are both very glad that the job is done. Thankfully we have a wide staircase.

This afternoon we went to Hexham so Mum could visit the hairdresser. I did some rapid shopping despite the terrible traffic snarl up due to road works. There is a 4 way traffic light system on a mini roundabout in the centre of town.

It has rained and rained and been dark and darker.

Tomorrow I'm walking in Teesdale at 0900 and hoping there is no flooding on the moors. Forecast has improved slightly.
