Autumn Proper

Not many of these left on the trees now, and still the winds batter the trees and anyone daft or unfortunate enough to be outside. The central heating is finally on (and already the house feels too warm!). Walks are now planned in conjunction with the weather forecasts with military precision to avoid the worst of the wind and rain, and soon it may be time to hunker down with a good single malt. Yes, yes, I know, still too early. But you know, the yard arm is no longer visible and probably leans a tad in the storm...
