Windblown and Wet
It felt very cosy overnight, tucked up in the warm log cabin in the New Forest whilst torrential rain pounded on the roof. By morning the rain had gone and it remained dry enough to venture out for a forest walk before the heavens opened again around lunchtime.
There was a clearance late afternoon so I drove up to the exceedingly wet heathland where wellingtons were the only sensible footwear. I managed to snap these trees amongst the floodwater during an all to brief burst of sunshine.
Tonight hatches are being battened down as the forecast gales take hold, it could be a wild night.
