V ......... is for Vet

I had a few ideas for my "V" post for the alphaponty alphabet challenge but they all involved scenes and views and the weather has totally put the kibosh on all these possibilities. Then I realised that Friday was Cara's appointment with the Vet - again - so I was rescued.

The open air treatment, regular cleaning and collar regime have all been effective in helping the wound to heal and today the vet was able to remove all the stitches that Cara hadn't already removed! However the three staples required in emergency will have to stay in place for maybe a further week. Meantime she is now allowed a short lead walk 'round the block' a couple of times a day although the downside is that she still has to continue with the collar to prevent her from opening the wound again. So we are getting there, albeit slowly.

I'm off now to take Bruce out for his walk and then back home to essential housework. Any hope of gardening rescuing me from the housework has been quashed by the weather.
