while the wind whipped severely through the skies - snowflakes fell with wild abandon - overnight and into the afternoon today - making for dangerous conditions yet also - creating gorgeous scenery everywhere - blizzard warnings were posted early - but as is always the case - in the foothills, we ended up seeing - sunshine late in the afternoon causing - a massive melt off to begin - this was our 1st major snow of the season - it came later than usual - due to warmer temps we have had
