*yay* I did it! I ran my first race! And in very good company with my friends from The Netherlands, with a colleague and Marten (see 4 of us on the extra picture). It was really fun, so am sure there will be a next time. My aim was to finish and, to do that under 33 min. Goals achieved! 

With such a race early in the morning there is still a whole day available and we decided to spend it in Brooklyn :) We visited the farmers market next to Prospect park (where the race was) and in the evening we met for a Williamsburg evening out (including a visit to the local hat store - see second extra picture).
