A Sporting Hero

This morning Jonah Lomu a sporting giant in our country died.  He was 40.  He suffered from kidney disease and bore this with the strength and dignity he showed in all aspects of his public life.  It was a very public life because he was one of the first sporting super stars down here.  The silver fern has been adopted as our symbol and our sports teams  wear it on their uniforms.  Jonah was one of the great All Blacks so I thought a silver fern would be a suitable blip for today.
