Wet and wild

What a day! Pouring rain and gales from morn till night! This poor little strawberry is in a hanging basket under the lean-to, so should have been a bit sheltered, but it was getting so battered that I had to move it.

A day for snuggling down with my knitting and a good book - and that sort of behaviour is usually reserved for the winter! The book is A Perfectly Good Man by Patrick Gale - one of my favourite writers - and it is excellent.

Happily Ollie's paw is a lot better. The painkillers are working a treat! Thank you for all your kind wishes for his recovery!
