Strange happenings

Last night at exactly 22 42 there occured in Germany a strange, eerie quiet, total silence reigned, completely still. Then a few minutes later groups of dejected adults appeared, all covered in yellow, red and black streamers, painted faces, flags, trudging dejectedly home, silent, shoulders slumped, heads down, defeated,some in tears, their worst nightmare come true, they had been defeated at Football by Italy.
We never watched the match but knew by the total lack of shouts and cheers that Germany had not scored a goal, but early on , two great groans had greeted the Italian goals, a little squeak or so just before the end meant Germany had got one back. Too late, great,that means Sunday will be a peaceful evening, well done Italy.
