Brash

It was wild for a few hours around midnight; but by the morning it was relatively calm.  I had a walk in the woods at lunchtime and came across this pile of birch brash.  On previous occassions over the last few weeks I have noticed a tractor taking trailer loads of it away; I think it must be used as a screening material and as an alterntive to using fencing.  You can see how it has been cut by hand; a pleasant task for an autumn day.
