Three Bridges

On a surprisingly fine afternoon I had a walk with friend Tom along the beach downstream from the Forth Bridges and in the Dalmeny Estate. The tide being low we were able to walk out to a small rocky outcrop which gave good views up river to the three bridges - the Rail Bridge which is now a World Heritage site, the present Road Bridge and beyond  that the towers of the new Forth Crossing which is coming on apace and due to open next year.
