Today has been a ridiculous day of indulgence and face stuffing at three of my most favourite local establishments.

I had a meeting in Percy Throwers for most of the day which was full of disruptions, some of which were in the form of biblical scale storms. The upside was a delicious salad for lunch.

Then to Ginger and Co after work with SS and Lovely Lucy. I had the 'Ginger Grog' which was a warm drink made of coffee and chocolate and spices and oranges and tasted a bit like I was drinking cake. In a really good way.

A brief stop to watch the lights being switched on. Underwhelming.

Then a scrummy goats cheese, mushroom and chestnut hot pressed sandwich at the Birdsnest with the musketeers and Lovely Lucy (and Roddy, after a horrific journey from London).

And this is why I run.
