No, I didn't dig up a treasure chest. I drove to the Goodwill thrift store, handed over $1.99 (plus tax), and all this treasure was mine. But why, you're wondering, since it's much too early for Mardi Gras.

The extra photo is a clue. The slingshot (UK catapult) is tomorrow's shop project for my honorary grandson I. It's not as complicated as the previous ones, but there's a fair amount of coping saw work involved, and we're using hardwood (maple) for the first time. I may have to help a bit.
