How I wish I'd have had my camera with me yesterday as I watched the men excavating forbidden petitions from the nooks and crannies in this shrine. For example: please let me pass my driving test. The men put the wishes in a big plastic bag - I wonder what happens to them next? When I asked a friend from the village if the wishes came true, she said 'Claro. She's the Virgin of the Rock'.
