things like yuppies and real people.
We intended to go to a screamo concert, stopped at a winebar, and ended up in a fantastic little snackshop downtown.
Oh how the evening progressed.
Screamo concert was filled with teenybopping 14 year olds and lovely old people. We didn't go to that.
Winebar was full of yuppies. We got coffee and watched the people in the bar. My heart broke for these people... like, they think they've reached the epitome of their lives because they can carry a prada back and wear uncomfortable shoes, pay to have someone park their car, and... that's the perfect life. It broke my heart... I wonder what they'd do if they lost all of their money?
Next stop, we went to a lovely indie coffee/smokes shop with these perfectly beautiful hippie fellows. They bought us pie and talked about getting high. Their lives were beautifully broken, but at least they realized it. The music playing was loud, and wonderful.
In the words of Francis, my new friend, "I like being around broken people. And I like loud music. Sometimes silence is louder than having music blasting."
