A Day on the Beach

Our final day and we headed for the Solway Firth and a coastal excursion.  As we looked back at the Lake District it appeared that we had made a very good decision.  The clouds in this image were heading towards the northern Lakes and carried a lot of rain in them.

It's been a challenging week, weather wise.  It does bring about opportunities for images on the margins of the weather and everyone made the most of the conditions.  A tremendous week.  Most had not met before but we came together and made good friends straight away, such is the community spirit of Blipfoto.

Ps Many thanks for all of your comments and rewards. Those that know anLPH week will appreciate there is limited personal time. Add to that I have had to do work in my spare time and I just haven't had time to respond individually. I am sorry about this but please accept my heartfelt thanks for all of your interest.
