Liberté, égalité, fraternité.

Totally stunned by the events in Paris. I was watching it all unfold on the news throughout the night with mounting horror, I just can't comprehend how such things occur, what motivates a person/people to open fire on hundreds of innocent folk and then blow themselves up? What in their warped minds is this achieving? It's terrifying, particularly because it makes no sense.

I was touched to see so many buildings lit up with the French flag today, it's such a small gesture but it indicates solidarity. Our hearts and thoughts are with Paris and everyone affected by this awfulness.

Bit of a sad note for my 2500 blips. But it's fallen on a day that's important to mark, to remember, and that's part of what makes blip so special.
