Day 31...Happy Halloween!
So it was my birthday the night before.
After work I Joined my family and friends at the Clubhouse for the annual halloween party/birthday party and enjoyed a few light refreshments ;)
My mum woke me at 6am this morning to act as groom for Bryn's Halloween ride at Motherwell's Strathclyde Park Fun ride....
Taking the roundabout just a mile away our propshaft fell off! First thinking our tyre had blown we then had a mild panic when we thought our poor boy was kicking off in the back? checking on him thankfully he was fine I then discovered our issue.
Refusing to allow my mum to keep moving until we got Bryn out the back to safety first ....I upset quite a few drivers ...ooops.
we had broken down at the junction coming off the busy roundabout.
The hazard ights were on the big red rosie truck had "horses" marked in large white writing but no we caused sheer fury. Mm calling the breakdown and me the police, i was trying to explain to the drivers if they could give us just a few minutes to get him off safely we wouldn't care what further damage was caused to the truck and move it further down....but no on a saturday morning getting to the shops was far more important than our horses or our safety! Bus drivers simply waved "its o.k" and squeezed passed but those in their smart lego looking cars had to cause a massive fuss ....
Huge thanks to the police for their help and the bus drivers to stopped to give Brynn the apples out their lunch boxes :)
My mum isn't naked lol she was intending on having a full tutu outfit on with poor bryn matching :)
Luckily we were stuck for the near 2 hours outside an aldi and not a tesco or im sure there would have been some cracks at that one....so hungover looking like death and in the rain ....but bryn cheered up the crowds of bewildered passers by and allowed countless kids to sit on him for their pics and give him cuddles ....apologies to the parents who's children are now asking for santa to bring them a horse with a tutu :) an eventful but hilarious wee day x
