Moonrise Over the Cornfield

One of my favorite things to do is watch the sky at sunset and one of my favorite places to watch the sunset sky happens to be right outside my front door. 
Here we have this evening's show, featuring a lovely waxing gibbous moon in the leading role.

The moving Moon went up the sky.
And nowhere did abide;
Softly she was going up,
And a star or two beside-
