New addition to my library

A very good friend gave me this book today. I love history, and especially local history. A lot of history has been preserved in post cards. Ogden has a very colorful and rowdy history. It was a major railway hub when the railroads were at their peak. Al Capone is said to have commented that Ogden was even too rough for him. 25th Street was a major player in the raucous history, since the Union Station was at the end of 25th Street. Passengers got off the trains and went out the front door straight up 25th Street. It was said that you could get anything on 25th Street and that was literally true. Now, it has been tamed and the city is capitalizing on the unique history of the street and its vintage 1930's look.
