Stone

Marjorie has come back to life. After yesterday's frustrations, today I found a boat mechanic who diagnosed the problem and came up with a successful and, I thought, ingenious way of solving it. (But I am easily impressed by people who understand technical things that baffle me.)

So we are moving again. A fine but windy afternoon saw us go South through Stone, which is the (self-styled?) Birthplace of the Trent and Mersey Canal. As this lovely small town is almost exactly half way along the canal, I guess that's true.

Stone is built almost entirely of brick, which seems odd. Today's Blip was taken, daringly, as I drove Marjorie. Decency forbids me from
disclosing exactly which part of my anatomy was used to guide the tiller as I photographed the canalside buildings.

Many apologies for my failure to comment to other blippers during this trip. The 3G connection is extremely slow. Normal responsiveness will be resumed when I return to land early next week.
