Alpine Weather

A wintry mix today so perhaps appropriate to show an alpine flower, albeit an out-of-season one.  An Androsace, labelled as Androsace cylindrica but probably a hybrid with the related Androsace hirtella.  A tiny beauty which will hopefully produce a full complement of flowers in the spring to cover the foliage with blossom.  

This plant is grown in a pot under glass but i have grown it outside in a trough placed under the eaves of the house which deflects potentially damaging excessive moisture.
