Words of Wisdom

I haven't before noticed this Yew tree which I pass on my lunchtime walk.   I was particularly drawn by the texture of its trunk and the piece of wood that has partly broken off - I wonder how that has happened.   This Yew tree has lived many years, through good and bad; I wonder what words of wisdom it could impart to us.
