Departure Day

Quite and peaceful morning. A good lie in. Healthy breakfast. Walking to the piazza of Ascona to buy some local delicacies to take home.

The village of Ascona is really empty at this time of the year and everyone at the age of 65 and below belongs to the "youngsters" here among the mostly "Swiss German / German" residents who live down here all year round.

Drove home towards noon and had snow on the road when coming out of the St. Gotthard tunnel on the north side. Winter finally starts. The extra shows the view towards Brunnen with the clouds which brought more snow / sleet a few hours later.

Ravioli al limone and a Merlot Riserva (Tenimento dell' Ör) for dinner. Some snow flakes outside justifies to switch on the Christmas lights outside and a fire inside.
