Loch of Stenness

The forecast snow arrived- but only the merest smattering on Orkney mainland. From Brodgar, I could see a fair bit on Hoy and there seemed more on the southernly hills there. Birds encountered on the walk- golden plover, lapwings, ravens, goldeneye, tufted ducks, red-breasted mergansers, scaup, slavonian grebes, stonechats etc.
