first birthday cake

Zeke's birthday cake is complete in readiness for a little family birthday party tomorrow. Eve was a really enthusiastic helper and is so excited about tomorrow's celebrations. Grandad pointed out that Zeke won't actually be one tomorrow (Monday is the big day) and she was bereft - it was as though she felt I'd cheated the system and was living a lie. She relaxed about it in the end.
