A long long way...

A while back I blipped a page out of a book. In that book my grandfather recorded details of where the ship he worked on went as well as lots of details about the ship's engine that I wish I understood. 

The book covered May 1945 - February 1951 and this is a map of approximately the journeys he took, covering around 300,000 (nautical) miles.
