Legends

A rare night out for me and Mr S this evening. We headed into Leeds to see Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse at the First Direct Arena. We hardly ever go into the centre these days and this was our first time at the arena. It was nice to see a previously shabby part of the city has been developed into a vibrant and busy area. The arena itself is an interesting piece of architecture and the constantly changing lights on the outside look amazing. It was incredibly well staffed and very well organised.
We booked the tickets months ago, on the day the Leeds date was added to the tour. I had no concept of the layout and having only seen the arena in the BBC Sports Personality of The Year, I was nervous that it would be ridiculously huge and we wouldn't see anything. I was wrong. While it is a very large venue with a capacity to seat 13,500 it's design is such that all seats are good seats. But our seats were GREAT seats.
The show was fantastic, they revived many of their classic characters: The Scousers, Smashy & Nicey, Loadsa Money and Stavros amongst others. It was fabulous and a real treat which we really should do more often.

Anyone for Bill Bailey in May?
