New York New York....

Finally arrived in NYC after an arduous journey on a train than clapped out half way and had to be "rebooted" thanks to the heat. We broke down in Elizabeth which a friend informed me is the "Armpit of New Jersey". Nice. Luckily we didn't have to detrain there, and eventually arrived 40 minutes late.

As it is pushing 100 and humid here today, we ditched Plan A which was walking round Central Park and sweating in favour of Plan B, going to the top of the air-conditioned Empire State Building. We got a pretty decent view despite the haze, as you can see.
