Fencing
This morning it was time for some running repairs on the pens and working on the fencing that desperately needs attentions - especially the bit that was broken by one of our bulls when it decided to go through the fence, which should have been strong enough to stop him.
The work force spent quite a happy morning taking the old fence down and getting it all ready to put back up again on Monday with a few improvements and better gating arrangements.
We then had a much needed afternoon out at the Bulawayo museum followed by pizza at a fab place recommended to us by the nice owner of the cafe I often go to. The museum was really interesting, if a little sad in how dated it looked (it reminded me of the Natural History museum when I was about 10). We were very brave and even visited the snake exhibition, which was a whole lot of live snakes, it only made me more certain that the recent snake encounter I had on a walk was with a black mamba, it did, thankfully move away very, very fast, so in fact I'm a little less nervous about them now. Along with each glass case containing a snake, would be a description, often with examples of what the snake would eat - such as lizard - then you'd look in the glass box to see a live lizard looking very worried for it's life, waiting to be dinner.
Dinner out was just lovely and had a very mediterranean feel to the place as we ate our pizza's. We came home to find the power is still off as we are now into day four of no power, just the generator on for a few hours in the morning and at night.
