Opera House re-opened

After months of renovations our Port Elizabeth opera house was officially re-opened this weekend.
It is the oldest opera house in South Africa and has been the stepping stone for many local artists who have achieved world wide fame. Five such artists performed at a wonderful concert...accompanied by the PE Philharmonic Orchestra.
The lobby has been enlarged and modernised but the actual theatre has been left in its original form, only the seats and carpets having been replaced.
There is an exciting line-up of concerts to add to the many other musical happenings in our city....all very exciting.
It's a busy weekend - friends who stayed overnight  have just left and we are waiting for more friends due to arrive shortly....probably not much time for comments from me!
