Home time has arrived, yay or nay?
So, there's lots to write about in this one blip - follow me if you want to but if your not interested then I don't blame you.
Firstly, you may have noticed that I have been absent from my blip duties YET again. I have had to make a lot of visits back to the my dreaded old dumping ground known as the Medway Towns where my Mother has been admitted to a Stroke rehab ward. The doctors and nurses can't believe how well she is doing - the last thing I heard her say before I left her to her own devices on Friday afternoon was "I'm not having them feed me like a baby - I want outta here!" Mum always has been a very determined lady and I feel it's this that has helped her recovery speed up. She can now walk with the Zimmer frame and apparently bombs around the ward like you wouldn't know it. Home visit with mum on Tuesday to see how she copes for an hour and all being well she will be discharged to the community secondary care team and will be able to finally go home.
I have dropped out of my Open University course and have decided a last minute change in career direction, and so have enrolled on an Interior Design diploma with the National Design Academy, a government accredited home learning university with a very similar setup, ethos and support network to that available at the OU.
Today's photo is of Grandpa's car loaded with a weeks worth of crap. I've been staying at his house whilst we have been going back and forth between South Cambridgeshire and the Medway Towns. I unpacked everything upon arrival at my house (what a nightmare!) whilst Grumps cooked us up delicious shepherds pie and Mediterranean veggies for dinner.
The washing up is done, cats are fed and the house has been thoroughly tidied to look like a show home again before I get off to bed.
As much as it's nice to stay with Grumps it's always much nicer to get back and sleep in your own bed.
Going, 123. That's me logging off. I'm exhausted !! :-)
