elephant bath

so today didn't go as planned, but tomorrow will be more productive. we are spending the whole day in the library. I have research work to do and B has a paper to write.

we needed a trip to the zoo!! it wasn't crowded, probably because the hot temps outside, but we had a nice time. as we always do. and there is just something wonderful about walking around with the one you love. despite sweating a touch in the summer heat. we saw a cool new interactive animal show--gear towards the younger crowd, but I am so glad to see the zoo doing more interactive things. (think Clyde & Seymour at seaworld, but taken down a few notches)

i got a great shot of this elephant giving himself a dusting after a cool dip in the water hole of the elephant habitat.
